I added filter support into ecs2 last night, about all the core is
lacking ( I think ) at the moment is the toString methods ( that will
take all of 5 minutes. ) If anyone is feeling particularly charitable I
could use a hand getting all of the helper classes coded. I've done a
few of the html elements and rtf elements already. If anyone wants to
grab the source and goto town its in cvs as ecs2. I'd like to finish
out the html, xhtml, xml, and wml helper classes and get it ready for a
release.
ECS 2 improves performance by 2x-3x and reduces the memory footprint by
1/3 to 1/2 of the current ecs code base. It uses an event model for
output,pretty print state changes and filter state changes. It also
allows for extensible element objects, i've also fixed/changed alot of
the stuff that i felt i did wrong in the ecs1.x code base.
Hope to see a flood of patches in my mailbox soon.
