Hi to all,

As I mentioned in an earlier message, the name of this list, ed-core, is
being changed to dream-flow.

Please change your links if you have web pages with ed-core info.

You will be automatically subscribed to the new list and taked off the
ed-core list.

If you ~don't~ wish to be on the new dream-flow list, send an email

Name Change & History (repeated message)

This list, ed-core, is the open dream flow channel maintained by the
Electric Dreams community and DreamGate. It was originally called ed-core
because Electric Dreams had a group of people who regularly commented on
dreams before we published. It was never meant to be an elite group, just a
dedicated one.

Over time, we have developed a wide range of channels online for sharing
dreams, including the dreamwheel dream groups, the art galleries, the
annual swarms and a host of smaller groups and experiments.

Now, the ed-core list is mostly used for those who want to contribute
dreams to the Electric Dreams ezine and for those who would like to comment
on those dreams, though the list is open for dream topics discussion as well.

In 1999 and towards the year 2000 I would like to see the ed-core list
remain open to dream sharing but to expand into a channel through which
dreams flow in cyberspace, around cyberspace, out of cyberspace. A kind of
cultural stream of dreams. I thought about calling the new list
dream-stream but its just a little too cute.

You don't have to re-subscribe to the new list, but please note that you
will need to send your dreams into
[EMAIL PROTECTED] instead of ed-core.

I think in January we will have a ritual event for the end of ed-core and
I'll put some history in Electric Dreams about this. It would be really
nice if you shared some of you favorite moments or fond memories & dreams
as well.

Where will dream-flow flow? As mentioned, the older paths of circulation
will continue. There will be circulation among subscribers, and these
circulations will be edited and added to the monthly Ezine, Electric
Dreams. Be sure to thank Bob Krumhansl for his part in this. [EMAIL PROTECTED]
The process of editing each month is very time consuming and a labor of
love, Bob doesn't make a cent from this endeavor. Thank you Bob. Dream
History will look back at this point as a very interesting transition &
revolution in the Dream Movement.

And thanks to all the dreamers and ed-core who have contributed comments
and dreams. You have created a river of dreams in cyberspace and put a
wonderful touch on the last moments of the 20th Century.

And so the flow of dreams in cyberspace will become more interlaced with
other flows and trajectories. Consider being a weaver and connecting the
flow to other streams online and off, feed the flow and bask in the flow...
I said earlier that
dream-flow will continue to be archived at
http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/
but watch for it at [EMAIL PROTECTED]/

And it will flow through the Electric Dreams Ezine channels, including Bob
Krumhansl, DreamGate, Victoria Quinton, Peggy Coats, Dane Pestano, Bryan
Smith, Jesse Reklaw, Matthew Perry, Catherine Decker, Jay Vinton,
LowBandwidth, the ezine collection lists, alt.dreams, alt.dreams.lucid,
ASD, BADG, Jill Gregory's Dream Library and Archive, the DreamNetwork,
Nutcracker, Gerald D'Aoust , Heratheta, Linda Magallon, our wonderful
writers and article contributors, the hundreds of web sites and thousand+
subscribers. To mention a few.

OK, dream-flow list is ready. This will be the "unofficial" switch,
12.00 midnight Mountain Time. Be thinking about how to connect the list to
your favorite Internet spots and venues. Note that breaks in the flow
contribute as well. In a sense, love is a break in the flow of the everyday
life, a desire to produce new channels and make unresistable connections.

Many thanks to you all and see you in the dream flow,

  - Richard
