I need to rethink the moderation settings for this list.
I don't allow mail from nonmembers, and I got tired of having to
log into a website to manually reject spam. So nonmember posts are
autodiscarded. But at least I can see the discarded posts, which are
forwarded to the list admin.
So here's Geoff's message.

Yes, I can understand what you would prefer, but I do not
think tidy could do that...

When an link anchor is opened, it becomes a container
for what follows until the </a> close is found...

Or something else trigger a close, like the </body> in
this case... and there are other things which can stop
this run-away situation... while seeking an </a> which is
missing...

And unfortunately the contents of that anchor can include
say an image, or indeed more anchor tags, lots of different
content...

And I do understand there can be situation where all
the rest of the document, the entire web page, can
be enclosed in the hyperlink... due to a missing </a>!

But I can see no way to avoid that in tidy. Would listen
to any ideas...

But could not the edbrowse module doing the rendering
have it own rules?

Like a new anchor, while in an anchor, close the first,
and later ignore the </a> now added by tidy...

And thus render your preference -
{link1} {link2} {link3}

Just an idea...

Regards,
Geoff.
