I can understand most or all of Kevin's explanation, but there is no other js code on the page, no <script src=jquery.js> or any such thing, so to my mind $ has never been set. If I have debug 3 and go into jdb and type $ it says not defined. Is $ suppose to be predefined in all browsers to have certain capabilities, or is there a jquery page loaded somewhere somehow that I don't see?
