Sorry, I actually queried the wrong thing in my transcript. I asked for x1.contentWindow.document, which doesn't make sense because x1 is the object and x1[0] is the iframe, which I assigned to x2. The gist of what I was demonstrating is still true when you query the correct thing. x2.contentWindow.document returns undefined.
