There are steps that can be taken (in addition to virus scanning every attachment or not opening attachments) that can help lower the risk of becoming infected by macro viruses. This information can be found at: http://officeupdate.microsoft.com/Focus/Articles/virusres.htm. Be sure to read "Turn On Macro Virus Protection." It detected nothing. I scanned the document manually and also found nothing. I have the latest and greatest from McAfee (our operations guy is constantly pestering? us with new updates.) Charles, Who informed you that there was a virus? Is it possible that they, in fact, introduced the virus to the document in the first place? As for Tammy, I would take Anthony's advice. This is a public forum and will get it's share of junk and viruses, etc. Those are the rules, and we all live by them. I do have virus scan software provided by my company. I am at the mercy of the tools given. The scan detects no virus in the document. This is the reason I have not re-sent the document. I did do the due diligence of scanning. I posted the warning and apology even though I show no virus and had in fact done the check. If any one would like to see the meeting agenda, it is on the web at www.needi.org My project plate is full, I do not have time to shop new virus scan software for my network team.
