Hi Nancy,
Please have a look at GEFEG EDIFIX. One of the outputs is RTF. Some of
our users export pieces of documentation for further editing them in
Word. EDIFIX supports some converter products directly and for not
directly supported ones we can export the MIGs into delimiter
separated text files. Using a self-definable build-in markup language
("point commands") you can document endless levels of syntactical and
other notes.
EDIFIX' outputs are 100% user-definable, for example:

EDIFIX contains also all X12 directories and can even be used to
document in-house standards like SAP IDocs.
