All,

I agree with all that has been said about 'step backward', and 'almost EDI',
but... This is the 'New Economy' we hear so much about. We have a
potential trading partner that wants to do just that - post order
requirements on their web page, and let us take it from there. Their 3PLP
(Third Party Logistics Partner) wants to do the same thing with deliveries
made to the customer (the 3PLP, of course, wants an EDI document when we
send stuff to them!).

The customer is the traditional 800 pound gorilla, so we are somewhat stuck.
What we intend to do is get a VERY good Trading Partner Agreement with both
parties, in which they agree not to change their web pages without notifying
us in advance. Given the stuff I've heard in this thread, maybe asking for
30 days notice may be a good idea.

Given all this - if anyone out there has already done this, I would
appreciate any advice (other than 'Don't do it), that I can get.
