DIRECTOR OF E-COMMERCE:
 
VanderHouwen and Associates, Inc. is actively seeking a Director of E-Commerce for a global consumer goods organization located in the Northwest. This position will be responsible for overall direction of the organization's B2B, Intranet, dot.com, Architecture, and Operations Groups.
 
Core Responsibilities:
� Establish E-Commerce strategy in support of business goals.
� Understand the business direction by participating and contributing to strategy planning sessions.
� Responsible for coordinating the deployment and delivery of IT solutions to meet global E-Commerce requirements.
� Responsible for meeting business and IT expectations with quality solutions that meet or exceed the expectations, within budget and specified timelines.
� Responsible for leading the development of the global E-Commerce Technology Plan.
� Drive the Human Resources planning process ensuring the E-Commerce IT organization develops properly.
 
This is a high-profile position, therefore, the successful candidate will need to have a track record of providing high-profile technical leadership, vision, and strategy in an E-Commerce environment. Vision and leadership are particularly important in this role, as well as the ability to integrate with the Applications Group and organizational building. Another key is the ability to bring groups together and "evangelizing" and expanding the use of internet/web technologies. In this capacity, the candidate must be dynamic and energetic to raise the profile and affect change.
 
Skills and abilities:
� Background should include 8-15 years of experience with increasing levels of responsibility with a focus on technology management, program management, or E-Commerce solution delivery. Must have a strong ability to lead with a very strong understanding of what it takes to develop a successful web-based operation. Fewer years of experience will be considered for exceptional candidates.
� Thorough knowledge of E-Commerce technology and solutions. Experience delivering through
third-party providers.
� Requires a combination of strong technical knowledge and leadership skills. Successful experience in a Senior-level management position with proven ability to provide direction.
� Experience in a large organization and experience developing successful vendor relationships.
� Recent success in a high-profile internet/web related project would be a plus. Experience in a dot.com may be a plus.
� Requires a college degree with a strong preference for an advanced degree/MBA.
� Prefer "Big 5" organization/consulting experience.
� Candidate needs to have some hands-on experience in design, development, operations, and process management.
� Experience leading large teams. Needs to have strong interpersonal skills to maximize the matrix-intensive nature of this job. High-level of verbal and communication skills.
� Candidate will also be a key contributor to a Technical Executive Team, so will need to be experienced working at the executive level to set direction and affect change.

DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS:
 
VanderHouwen and Associates, Inc. is actively seeking a Director of Global Distribution Systems for a global consumer goods organization located in the Northwest.
 
The successful candidate will need to lead and manage the people and activities related to the delivery and support of process and information technology solutions for global distribution systems. They will create a vision and organization in support of a global logistics and supply chain projects to achieve world class distribution systems.
 
The successful candidate will be on the ground floor of leading the overhaul of the domestic distribution services and setting the international strategy. This position will be responsible for the overall technology involved in managing the Global Distribution Centers.
 
Three key areas of experience for the successful candidate are:
 
 International experience. This position will require extensive interaction with global locations.
 Software engineering experience, including systems implementation and integration.
 Domain knowledge. This is a tier one-distribution company involving large, highly automated, real-time systems.
 
Other required abilities are:
 
� Strong/aggressive interpersonal abilities.
� Strong functional knowledge of distribution systems.
� Ability to develop vendor relationships and evaluate tools.
� Extensive IT management experience and strong development background.
� Experience with consumer products and supply chain.
� Transportation experience is a plus.
� Candidate must be open to global travel up to 30% of the time.
 
This position requires an exceptional Information Technology Director with the ability to define the strategic blueprint for the technology initiatives of a high-growth global consumer goods organization.
 
Candidates must have experience applying creative technology-driven logistics solutions in the design, engineering and management of transportation, warehousing, and distribution, as well as the integration of Global Supply Chain functions and systems.
 
The successful candidates will be seeking a challenging Senior strategic role and will be an experienced IT Manager/Director with proven expertise developing and delivering programs, business process improvement, and information technology-enabled strategic solutions designed to improve the overall performance and growth of their global systems.
 
The following is also required:
� Solid credentials in relationship management at the CEO level down. Strong relationship building skills.
� Experience with IT Architecture Assessment, IT analysis and strategy definition, risk management, and proven project leadership are essential.
� Specific expertise in one or more of the following areas is also preferred: IT Outsourcing, ERP/Supply Chain strategic evaluation, and analysis and solutions.
� Prefer experience with a significant management consulting or strategic IT solutions services firm. "Big 5" and consulting services is highly desired.
� Bachelor's degree or equivalent is mandatory; MBA is preferred, but not required.
� Strong customer service orientation.
� Experience with change management and metrics management.
� Strong communication and relationship building skills.
