All,
We are trying to establish an inbound DESADV into MM using Idoc DELVRY01,
process code DELS. We found that we need to enter some value into segment
E1EDL37, element VHILM_KU. This is supposed to be the CUSTOMER packaging
material. Now SAP also needs to have this CUSTOMER packaging material set
up in MM as a packaging type. Unless it finds this material, the Idoc gets
a status 51.
I've looked at the function module, and it appears that if we use Idoc
Desadv01, then a similar thing happens with element PCKAR in segment
E1EDP08.
My questions:
1. Why does SAP care what kind of package the material shows up in? If
you do an inbound delivery manually it doesn't ask for this data.
2. Is there anything we can do to get around this requirement?
