There are two products you should check out:
1. My product OBOE Open Business Objects for EDI which will do
EDI-2-XML and XML-2-EDI, for more info go to
http://www.americancoders.com
And
2. Eagle by Mendelson E Commerce. Eagle uses my OBOE engine but
Mendelson added a lot more with Eagle such as the XML-2-FLAT. Info on
this product is available at http://www.mendelson-e-c.de
If you do use the Eagle product tell the folks at Mendelson I sent you.
BTW - by flat file I assume you mean files such as SAP's EDI format.
