Gardiner, Director of Business Development, EC Outlook Many companies are perplexed by the multitude of offerings, in the e-business space, that address the ability of firms to develop an extra-structure for connecting with its trading partners. This is compounded by the vast numbers of disparate legacy systems, document formats, lack of IT resources, and infrastructures that utilize multiple layers of products. Our speaker will address these - and other issues - in the context of the build vs. buy rationale. 12:00 Lunch 1:15 ERP/EDI at Partners HealthCare System Ira Keltz, EDI Coordinator/PeopleSoft Analyst, Partners HealthCare System, Inc. Differing solutions for extending EDI are compared against each of four key requirements for B2B collaboration: data integration, business process management, application logic, and business rules. 3:30 E-Sourcing: The Next Generation Roy R.. Anderson, Director of Purchasing, John Hancock Financial Services, Inc. John Hancock has been actively involved in the use of e-procurement tools for web requisitioning for the past two years and has achieved very good results. New tools are now becoming available to leverage this environment into a complete sourcing and change management solution. In this session, we will review contract creation, tracking, catalog management, electronic order placement, invoice elimination and personal presentation to drive change. As marketing activity is still out-distancing the reality of e-Commerce, it is imperative to understand the ROI and drive toward solutions that deliver payback. 4:15 NEECOM Raffle 4:30 Adjourn Meeting Registration To avoid an additional walk-in registration fee of $20, all registrations must be received by February 16, 2001.
