        Thanks for your help. The solution was to use Document (Start) at
header, so when you reject it will reject from Header down..

You may need to add the Document (Begin) and Document (End) mapping commands
to
your map (like a normal app to X12 outbound map).  You may also need to use
the
ANY2ANYL envelope tables (ANSIOUT2 with the writes deleted).  This should
also
give you document logging capability.

        I have an app2app map and in there I have an "If data is missing
then document reject". The document stops but the data that has been written
before the reject goes to the output file rather than to the recovery file,
how do I tell it to REJECT the WHOLE DOCUMENT...the entire file to the
recovery file...

        Document reject acts as a Document end. Remember this is an app2app
not a app-2-X12.
