Subject: Experience with an EDI service bureau?
Let me preface this note by saying I work as an EDI integrator and that's
why I have no experience in the area I am inquiring about...
I am interested in finding out what options may be available for an EDI
Service Bureau function.
Here's the situation: A company has a customer that is demanding electronic
trading of 2-4 EDIFACT documents. The supplier does not have EDI in-house
(nor any reliable application systems), and is looking for a third party to
provide either a (dare I say it...) EDI-to-Fax solution, or a web-based data
entry, in-flight translation solution. As a last resort, they will consider
a PC-based translator where they may purchase templates for the needed
transactions.
Has anyone had any good experiences with these types of service that they
would be willing to share?
