You could store the drawing as a binary and use the BIN segment.  Not sure if
the 850 or your translator supports the BIN segment.

One way to do this, in a legacy EDI system, is to keep the drawings in an
FTP library, and send the link in the EDI data in, say, an NTE segment or
something like that.  The receiving organization, in their app interface can
then write the code to go out and pull down the drawings based on the link.
Need to think about security considerations for the FTP piece, of course.

Alternatively, with software such as Extricity's (incl. the EDI Channel) B2B
software, you could send both the EDI data and the drawings and it would all
be managed through one single process execution.  This way, connectivity and
security is handled automatically, as well.
