Linda,
I am currently in the process of implementing the 816 with Wal-Mart and
would appreciate sharing information.
The Request Cards direct their communications software to send data from the
mailbox that matches your request. We send a group of requests and receive
the corresponding data. You can issue a request for each country you need.
We send the following to retrieve the daily change files:
$$REQUEST ID=GLNCXUS BLOCK=6
$$REQUEST ID=GLNCXAR BLOCK=6
$$REQUEST ID=GLNCXBR BLOCK=6
$$REQUEST ID=GLNCXCA BLOCK=6
$$REQUEST ID=GLNCXCN BLOCK=6
$$REQUEST ID=GLNCXDE BLOCK=6
$$REQUEST ID=GLNCXGB BLOCK=6
$$REQUEST ID=GLNCXMX BLOCK=6
To get the weekly Weekly Synchronization file the ID='s would be GLNFXUS,
GLNFXAR, etc. They have an ID of GLNCX (and GLNFX) which is supposed to
retrieve all countries, but this week it only contained the US store
listing. To be safe, I think we will pull by specific country.
Hope this helps,
Ed Mitchell

Subject: WalMart 816 vs. 4030

Our company is going to start the testing for the 816 vs. 4030. Has anyone
done this yet?
How does the 816 interact with other documents? Walmart refers to REQUEST
CARDS for pulling data through EDI. I am not sure what this means.
Can anyone help.
