We use a package developed by Ralph Notto in the late 80's called Telink - this may be what you're thinking of. And I do remember something about Ralph being one of the originators of X12. Unfortunately Telink Systems has gone out of business, and so our translator is no longer supported. Is there anyone else out there who has implemented another translator in place of Telink? I'd be interested in knowing how you went about doing it. In response to the original question, I think Bob Lyons has hit on the most likely suspect.
