The normal rule applies; if G. O'Rilla(800) PLC requests something then
you do what they require and ignore any academic nonsense to the
contrary which may be in EDIFACT specifications.

In Europe the CONTRL message is seldom implemented, and there is thus
little accepted practice to draw on. The codes used in element 0085 in
UCI and UCM seem especially idiosyncratic (UCM may not even be required
or mandated at all). You are correct in assuming that partner profiling
for CONTRL might be required although I would have hoped that, within
any sector, some praxis would have emerged.
