Hello Pete!

Softshare offers a Web-based solution called: Athena (athena.softshare.com)
where smaller trading partner can receive and respond to EDI documents in an
easy to use, Web-based interface. If you log in as a guest you will be able
to create an 810 Invoice turn-around document from the 850 Purchase Order
transaction. Similarly you can create an 856 response to an 830 document
that is sitting in the guest mailbox for testing purposes (there are some
other sample documents loaded as well). Any EDI document (X12 or EDIFACT)
can be received and created using Athena and Athena also supports XML
documents.

Softshare offers this solution starting at $300 per year which means it is
not only easy to use but it is also very affordable. Athena does require IE
5 or above, we do not support Netscape.

The benefit to the "hub" trading partner is the fact that EDI can be
exchanged with all trading partners, large and small, even those using a
Web-based system. There is also no fee for the hub trading partner to setup
an Athena solution for its trading community. We currently support a number
of hubs in their roll-out efforts to their smaller suppliers -- from
automotive to health care to retail companies.

Please don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions, and we welcome
you to take a look at the Athena Web site http://athena.softshare.com/ using
the 'ssguest' username and password.

Subject: FEEDBACK ON USAGE OF WEB BASED FORMS FOR NON-EDI CAPABLE
TRADING PARTNERS

I am looking for any feedback/opinions from anyone who has investigated or
is currently utilizing web-based forms as a means of enabling electronic
exchange of data with your trading partners who most likely never be edi
capable.

I know that software vendors like St. Paul, Peregrine, Kewill have web-base
asp models to accomplish this.

Does anyone have any exposure to these or any other like products?

Are there alternatives where I could send outbound po's and have that
document turned around into an invoice and asn by the trading partner to
return to me?

Thanks in advance for your input
