Joshua,

Do you have a standard in the US which says how to derive a DTD from an X12
transaction set? We have here DIN 16557-4 for DTDs, which makes use of the
EDI tags.

Using our XML/EDI interface I generated two variants of 4031-278 for you,
one based on EDI tags, the other - larger one - based on names.

Please note, it is an example only, I deleted the complete PID loop, because
as far as I know, DISA does not allow the re-publishing of the original
standard data.

The same export could be done to a schema file. If you would send me the
HIPAA IC as SEF file we could use this as more specific input to the tool.

If you want to know more about our XML/EDI module please visit

Subject: DTD for X12 278

Does anyone know of DTD's that exist for the X12 transaction sets?
Specifically, I'm looking for a DTD for the 278. And better still, it would
represent the HIPAA implementation.
Thanks,
Josh
