Mercator smokes on the unix side, especially on a Solaris box running
version 5 or better. Using shell scripts or the launcher make it as
versatile as Server for workflow, and the mapper has so much more
capability then Mentor. The pricing is very competitive (ask me about
it!) You probably want to run on whatever platform your legacy apps are
located on ... making you life easier when it come to moving data
around.

(Yes, folks, I'm now doing 100% exclusive Mercator work!)
