Title: RE: Wal-Mart 850; Migrating from 004010 to 004030.

Yes, more detail, 4030 has replaced MSG segment with MTX, if you can add MTX on your 4010, then you can use it(what I did). As for the data to be printed in the shipping label, I think you still can use REF segment if they are department# and po type.

Also, I just finished 4030 810 conversion, I use my 4010 overlay(Peregrine TLW translator) for this 4030 standard and it gone through Wal-Mart’s test, for your information, the major changes as below:

1)         Replace DUNs number with GLN.

2)         N101 change from “SF” to “SU” for supplier.

3)         N103(when N101 is “ST”) change from “9” to “UL”; N104 change from DUNs# to GLN#.

4)     TXI segment change as below:

         IF SHIPPING TO NOVA SCOTIA, NEW BRUNSWICK OR NEW FOUNDLAND, THEN YOU WILL NEED TO USE.

TXI= BE*AMOUNT*15******9DIGIT TAX REGISTRATION NUMBER.

(TXI04 and TXI05 used to be “CD” and “HST”, now leave blank)

         IF SHIPPING TO QUEBEC,

         IF YOU ARE REGISTERED FOR QST: YOU WILL NEED TO SEND TWO TXI SEGMENTS

         IF NOT REGISTERED FOR QST:  ONLY SEND ONE TXI SEGMENT WITH A GS QUALIFIER.

TXI=GS*AMOUNT*7******9 DIGIT REGISTRATION NUMBER

TXI=PG*AMOUNT*7.5*SP*QST****10 DIGIT REGISTRATION NUMBER

         IF SHIPPING TO ANYWHERE ELSE, THEN USE ONTARIO

TXI=GS*AMOUNT*7******9DIGIT REGISTRATION NUMBER

You can if you don't need the additional elements they provide, but as I see it you must have them since WM requires them to be printed on the shipping label.

Subject: Walmart 850; Migrating from 004010 to 004030.

Bonjour EDI-L.

Can someone tell me if there are big differences between Walmart 850 in
004010 and 850 in 004030.
I know that Walmart is changing the way they are identify stores numbers
from DUNS numbers to GLN numbers but beside that is there anything else?
The reason I'm asking is because my curent version of my EDI software don't
have 004030 yet & I was wondering if I can use my actual 004010 map to
translate their 850.

Thanks,

Robert Richer
