I, like most people, apparently, share your shock and your outrage and I grieve for all those lost and for their friends and families.
I will not, however, allow these animals to take away my liberty.
God willing, all free people will stand up against these cowards -- not only by helping to hunt them down and eradicate them, but also by refusing to be "terrorized"; by refusing to be cowed and intimidated; by refusing to "live in a different world/country", as I've heard so many news pundits say.
I, for one, plan to do nothing differently as far as travel. If I was going to fly, I will fly. If I was going to travel overseas, I will do so.
There is no doubt that we live in a world that contains savage people with no respect for human life, in and out of the United States. Many of us, myself included, have taken our safety for granted, especially within our own country. This was unjustified, and probably arrogant on our parts. Now we have learned that we are not invulnerable. We're not as safe as we thought. We need to take more and better measures to ensure our security, both as individuals and as a nation.
But I won't trade freedom for security. I hope and believe that many, many Americans, and indeed, citizens of free countries around the world, feel the same way.

Has this event changed your thoughts on domestic travel?Lee LoFrisco
