Attention:Mercator (r) and Datastage TX Map Developers, Users and Consultants
Creating decent documentation of your Meracator and Datastage TX maps getting you down?
Well, take a look at this exciting new product from Tal Systems, Inc.
http://www.talsystems.com/demo/MapReport.exe
(This link is not yet visible at our web site)
What you see here is what you get: Complete documentation for all maps in any
Mercator/DSTX "*.mms" map source file.
Here's how it works:
First, you EXPORT your map file to XML; a standard feature of Map Designer since at
least Mercator version 6.0 was released.
Then, you start our Windows desktop program. It prompts you for a file name, you
select the XML file name to which you exported your
map and click "Open."
The software generates this report and sends it to the same Print Previewer
application you see in the demo. From the previewer, you
can browse, jump to any map in the file (just pick one from the little drop-down list
near the top of the screen) and print any one,
any range or all pages to any printer attached to your computer.
Could you do this yourself? Sure, the exported file is XML, you are one heck of a
mapper, and sending your output to a printing
application isn't all that hard.
But... can you do it for only $129.00 (That's right, only one hundred twenty-nine
dollars)?
This product is currently in final Quality Assurance and will be available for
shipment not later than November 1 2004.
If interested in placing an order for delivery not later than November 1, just drop a
note to Tal Systems at the email address
below. We'll be happy to provide ordering information.
