I simulated the switch on a test SQL server and a test Gentran machine, making sure each test machine was exactly as the current production machines. Then updated the SQL server to SP3, that went smooth with no problems. Then the Gentran upgrade, no errors. Woohoo! Unfortunately, I haven't gotten much farther than that but have plans to once I return from vacation after New Years.
