Not necessarily a valid argument, as we currently use AS2 to fling an awful
lot of X12 with our trading partners. (And our VAN connection is a tad
faster than 47K, too.)  Too, in some twisted universe, there's nothing to
stop XML from being transmitted via dialup, even though the mind reels at
the thought.  :)

Amen.  Maybe that's why the advocacy of XML?  "We don't have enough data,
let's pad it out a bit."
