All the best, Gary Bligh Alpharetta, GA ======================== Job Opening Manager, Integration Operations Location: Alameda, CA Position Summary: The Integration Operations Manager is responsible for the management of all integrated data flowing to and from GT Nexus solutions. They will also be responsible for day-to-day management of the team's activities in these areas and growing the team to support GT Nexus' expansion. The Integration Manager will be managing Integration Operations team members both in Alameda, CA as well as India. The ideal candidate will have experience with management of these types of integrated logistics messages in a live operations environment. They should also be able to bring insights on state-of-the-art transaction data flow monitoring tools and processes. Learning all of the GT Nexus applications and being able to communicate internally and externally how each application works, will also be a requirement. An understanding of how the applications consumes data from supporting systems processes will also be important. The candidate should be comfortable working in a metrics rich environment, running and scaling the group based on specific performance metrics around data accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. They should be comfortable working closely with GT Nexus Products, Engineering, and Professional Services teams to help ensure that the GT Nexus "Logistics Data Hub" is working as efficiently as possible. While the Integration Operations Manager will have a supporting cast of characters, they should be the type of person that enjoys getting their hands a bit dirty - takes nothing for granted - and needs to understand at the data level, exactly what is happening as messages are accepted, moved, translated, linked, and processed. They will lead the Integration Operations Team - which handles the following functions: Completing New Partner Integrations: Distributing "Message Implementation Guide" (MIG) documentation detailing the specifics of the file (EDI, XML, Flat File) to be sent to and from the partner Walking partners through the technical details of the MIGs Building Mercator maps for these messages Setting up communication protocols (sFTP, AS2, https, etc) between GT Nexus and the partner Unit testing the new integration Deploying tested messages into QA and string testing environment Supporting and Monitoring Existing Integrations: Owning GT Nexus' data traffic management infrastructure Configuring and maintaining new monitors within our monitoring infrastructure to ensure that all messages are tracked and processed correctly Managing GT Nexus' Data Quality Programs and service offerings Working with customers and their partners to ensure that data quality issues are resolved as far upstream as possible Working with Products and Engineering to ensure GT Nexus products continue to be built from the outset with an eye toward integration and "supportability" Reviewing Product MRDs to ensure that the right attention and diligence is being paid to integration processing associated with the products Owning the knowledge capital around how the various logistics data sets link, interlink, and support GT Nexus applications and data quality programs. Sample integrated messages include: purchase orders, advanced shipment notices, packing lists, shipping orders, shipment status events, customs clearance, ocean bookings, bills of lading, schedules. Managing resources responsible for supporting new partners connecting into the GT Nexus infrastructure (message mapping through to unit testing). Monitoring integrated data flow, ensuring that correct monitoring infrastructure is in place, working with support team to identify and resolve integrated message failures Meeting internal Service Level Agreements to make sure new partners are on-boarded on time Ensuring Product enhancements are reviewed from an integration operations point of view Defining business processes and tools to make sure the Integration Operations team continues to grow to support GT Nexus' expansion Participating in "on-call" rotation to support team as necessary in addressing integrated message failures Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Computer science or equivalent. Technical and System Administration training background is desirable 5+ years previous experience working in an "integration rich" environment, monitoring and measuring the flow of data to-from business applications Experience running with a fast paced environment with a growing team Industry experience (i.e. work at a 3PL, Ocean or Air Carrier) a plus Outstanding verbal, written and communication skills A passion for working in the supply chain and logistics space; working for a small, growing company; focused on delivering customers creative solutions that will save them millions in a low risk, hosted, deployment model How to Apply Reply to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Use Job Code MIO1 Principals only.
