We just completed the same upgrade recently.
1.) Make sure you also install the service pack for 5.0.
2.) You absolutely will have to recompile every map on your system.
3.) There are some registry glitches that you may have to manually correct
on the server and the clients depending on your maps, etc.
I will gladly go over the the details with you, however I am not
sure if they will all affect your installation. There is an HIPAA compliance
registry key that forces the clients to close, and several registry keys
that had to be changed on the server to resolve descrepancies between lookup
& location table names from earlier versions.

Hello all out there... I have a question hopefully I will get some

I am running Gentran 3.2.2 with SQL200 / Win2000. Now I want to do an
upgrade of Gentran latest verison 5. Have any fo you done this and
if so.. Any pros or cons about doing such a thing.
Any info would be great.... I have consulted with Sterling too. But
