You can try xmlLinguist, the EDI-to-XML translator at
http://www.sysonyx.com/products/xmllinguist. It's lightweight, simple and
affordable. Retailing at $79.95 USD, xmlLinguist will translate any
structured text document into XML and visa-versa. It is not designed to
"map" into any format, rather the logic is to get the document into XML, and
for further transformation needs, you can use an XML Stylesheet.

Have a look at http://www.sysonyx.com/xml-to-edi-850. It's a tutorial that
shows how, using an xmlLinguist map, to translate an XML document into an
X12 850 document. And since all maps are bi-directional, you can merely
reverse the steps to go from an 850 into an XML document.
