Keeping with your example, does Sears have an agreement with this Internet
store to act as a store front? If the Internet store is just interested in
reselling merchandise it is going to purchase through Sears, and they have
no affiliation with Sears, they will most likely get no information from
Sears beyond a current printed catalog from their catalog department! (I
wouldn't suggest that as a good business model, either....)

Wal-Mart,...)

Maybe I wasn't clear in what I am asking for. I apologize for that. I'll
try to give you guys an example. For example, internet store will be
reselling products that Sears sells. This Internet store needs to know
information what kind of products Sears is selling, prices for these
products, maybe product's serial number.

Item Price Serial Number/Box bar code

Basketball 5.00 123456789

Soccer ball 4.00 987654321

Currently this type of data is transmitted within 832, 846 transactions.
I wanted to find out if anybody knows how easy it is to get this type of
data from the retailers. How easy retailers are willing to share this
type of information.

Thank you.

Do you mean how to catalog items FOR a major store, or FROM?
We use QRS/Inovis Catalog for some of our customers and another datapool
for
GDSN.

Looks like Brian beat me to it....

Anyway what are you needing to know Eugene?

Greetings...

Does anybody know how easy it is to get catalog data from major stores?
Are they willing to share this information or it's considered
confidential information? Does the catalog data include bar code number?

I would appreciate if somebody can share their knowledge in this area.

Thank you in advance,

Eugene.
