If XYZ corp wants to test with me via a 3rd party, then at least test. Test with my UPC's with a 850 that comes in via normal data communication. I'll send an invoice and a FA. That's a test. They want the partnership, they pay the fees involved. Telling me to create an outbound transaction via Wordpad and uploading it is not a test. When the testing firm wants the junk data back on an invoice and 856 that I downloaded from their website and they can't understand why I can't run their crap through my ERP it's an exercise in frustration. These testing houses only waste our time and money with their mandates and procedures that bear no real-world resemblance.

Sears Canada does this. I don't remember the charge amount, but the 1st label is NOT free, and the price is somewhere less than $100.00 (I would have to call a client to get the exact price). To add a bit of contrariness, how should a company verify that a supplier is EDI compliant? Should they eat all the costs incurred by their staff? Hire a 3rd party company (like SPS Commerce or QRS)? We're currently doing a Canadian Hardware chain that requires $1,000.00 to do the EDI testing! This has been outsourced to a 3rd party http://www.lbmx.com/index.html Earl Wertheimer [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.spe-edi.com .
