Steve,

We made the same upgrade a few months back. We went all out; Oracle 10G
backend, Gentran 5 patch 9 and Windows 2003 Enterprise server. I
remember that we had to reassign permissions for the users afterwards.
Remember to log-in as the gentrandba account or the system administrator
for Gentran prior to starting the upgrade. Overall, it was pretty
smooth. However, we are still experiencing issues with NFS services on
Windows 2003 because Oracle is on Unix. This is not a Gentran upgrade
issue though - I think this one is a Microsoft issue.

Best of luck!

Subject: [EDI-L] Gentran Nt 5.0 Upgrade

We are going to upgrade from Gentran NT3.2 SP1 to 5.0 with an Oracle
database. I know there were some serious issues with 5.1. Is there
anything we should be aware of in 5.0? Any info would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,
Steve
