Topic: The Tectonic Shift in the e-Business Process Center of Gravity

There has been a tectonic shift in the center of gravity for
e-business applications inside the firewall to a hosted integration
with B2B vendors outside the firewall. As more and more hosted
integration vendors start to enrich their offerings with solutions to
make business processes more effective and efficient, enterprises are
being challenged to offer IT-based value-add inside the firewall.

• How is the sourcing of business applications changing?
• What is the effect of the shift from in-sourcing business
applications, to outsourcing, and then virtual sourcing?
• What are some models that help organizations determine when and
where they should look to source their business applications?
