Dear New to EDI, The issue is not the EDI processing of the old orders, per se. The issues are in the applications and attempting to load duplicate orders that were already entered on-line. The old paper orders have been entered into the supplier's Order Entry or Order Management application. To receive them again by EDI would result in duplicate POs that cannot be processed again. It is unlikely that the customers can just extract the old POs again just to send them through EDI for the first time. If your EDI orders are retaining data in the OE application that they were not forced to enter online from paper orders, you may be missing some data for the new outbound ship notices and invoices. You may go back to the old manual orders to add the data, but if you can't you may encounter some data issues with the EDI ship notice and EDI invoices if you had EDI required data that was never entered on-line. You are likely to just let the old manual orders live out their life as they are. Do any data clean up on-line if need be, but I would not expect to enter them again just because you enabled EDI processing.
