Being in the publishing industry, I would recommend you do it outside the
translator. For current titles you need to take "978" and concatenate it to the
first 9 digits of the ISBN. Then you need to write a routine to calculate the
new check digit. and concatinate it to the first 12 digits.

  Hi there All,

I have Gentran 3.2 and I was wondering if nay of you people out there -
would have some kind of code that you could share on how to convert
ISBN-10 to ISBN-13 and the reverse ISBN-13 to ISBN10.

I have been trying to get something to work in my end but so far I have
not been getting it to work.

So, here I am wondering if any of you have something to share that I
can use here.

We are still working in our back end to be able to accept the ISBN13 -
so in the mean time I need to make all ISBN-13 to a 10 etc..

I thank you all in advance...

Carlos
