Before the board lurkers pounce on me I would like to preface this email with a statement: I am not prejudiced against Indians in any way, the following is about an industry condition that happens to involve India.
If you notice many of these open ended questions are from people with Indian names. There is a glut of Indian outsource resources right now. They developed viable businesses around ERP / EAI outsource implementation work and are moving there focus to other applications as the ERP market has matured and shrunk. We regularly gets requests from Indian organsations asking for a "trial license" of our SAP EDI adapters. They have an SAP practice and an EDI prospect / customer they want to support. After investigation most of these firms aren't official SAP partners and the deal they are working isn't local in India. We refer them to our local office wherever in the world the deal is. I have no proof but I suspect many of the generic help questions come from organisations that have offices selling cheap EDI resources; the sales guys win a deal, it gets shipped offshore to India and the "Consultants" start going through the manual to figure out what to do...
