Start Date: ASAP Contract Type/Length: W2 - 4+ Months Contact: James West - [EMAIL PROTECTED] Rate: Negotiable ---------------------- Job Description: Programmer Analyst II Duties: The EDI Programmer Analyst position will be responsible for the day to day management and operation of the Gentran 4.0 EDI application environment. Key responsibilities include the following: Setting up new Trading Partners Developing, testing, maintaining, documenting, and supporting EDI translation maps Monitoring inbound and outbound EDI transactions and associated error notification and logs, troubleshooting issues, and resolving them in a timely basis Working with Sterling Commerce's technical support to troubleshoot issues with the Gentran application or the Sterling VAN Working with the EDI contacts for our trading partners on setting up new transactions and troubleshooting issues Collaborating with other programmer analysts of downstream systems that integrate with EDI or use EDI transaction data Supporting the order administration, contract administration, product distribution, and customer finance teams on their EDI requirements and transactions Providing technical leadership in EDI technologies and next generation B2B platforms Skills: Minimum of 2 years experience working with EDI (ANSI X12 and EDIFACT) in a manufacturing or distribution industry environment 2 years experience with Sterling Commerce's Gentran software. Gentran Integration Suite (GIS) experience also desirable Experience supporting inbound and outbound EDI transactions for order processing, inventory, shipment, and invoicing Experience integrating EDI transactions to SAP through iDocs highly desirable. Experience working within a formal software development lifecycle methodology Windows batch and Unix shell scripting skills Oracle database and PL/SQL skills desirable Strong communication and customer service skills Strong analytical and problem solving skills Education: 4 year degree in computer science or related field ------------------------ Yahoo!
