DCS seeks an EDI specialist with Sterling Commerce Gentran:ServerTM for Unix
or Microsoft Windows 2003 ServerTM EDI experience for a consulting
engagement of approximately one and one-half months in St. Louis, MO. Two
years full-time experience as a map writer, trading partner, and data
transmission set-up and maintenance are required. Knowledge of consumer
products EDI and AS2 is required.
The reason for the engagement is because our customer is integrating a
custom business application with EDI. The customer offers Web hosting
(shopping cart) and has found that sending PO's to vendors by EDI enables
them to earn discounts. Documents exchanged are 850S, 855R, 856R, 810R,
820S, 846R, and 867R. Much of the work would be defining the intermediate,
positional file formats, business rules, etc. The customer's developers
would do data base development. A DCS EDI Specialist will provide remote
assistance.
The rate is $65 hourly. Reasonable travel, lodging, and meals expenses will
be paid.
