POSITION:
EDI Support Analyst/Coordinator
COMPANY PROFILE:
We area a rapidly growing San Francisco based wholesale apparel
vendor. We are informal, friendly, yet hardworking. Our location is
close to 101H and across
the street from public transit.
POSITION SUMMARY:
We are seeking a candidate who has hands-on EDI experience which
includes mapping 850,856,810 documents, and be familiar with concepts
such as X12, UCS, VICS, and AS2, and setting up trading partners. In
addition but not limited to have the following skills in
UCC-128 label, ASN preparation, customer ship-to preparation, order
entry, scripting, and customer service.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide 1st level EDI production support
Review reports and log files on a daily basis.
Answer production support emails and voice mails.
Prioritize, research, track, and resolve EDI related issues.
Analyze transaction files to identify data errors, transmission
errors, and mapping errors.
Work with VAN's to resolve transmission issues and retransmit EDI
documents
Performs mapping functions as necessary to meet current business
issues and satisfy business partner requirements.
Work with trading partners and internal functional teams to
troubleshoot data issues and mapping issues.
Maintain EDI documentation and developing clear and up-to-date
procedures.
Performs mapping functions as necessary to meet current business
issues and satisfy business partner requirements
Performs trading partner implementation which includes
communications methods and mailboxes, analyzing EDI specifications to
fit the internal business application, coordination of EDI with
UCC-128 label and customer ship-to preparation
.
EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
2 to 5 years experience in some or all of the following areas:
Working knowledge of any EDI translators ( but eBridge & TrustedLink
preferred)
Mapping experience in X12 850,810,and 856 documents.
Working knowledge of FTP, AS2, asynchronous connections.
Working knowledge of X12, UCS, and VICS standards.
Working knowledge of MAS200 application
Working knowledge of bar code technology and relation to EDI
Understanding of shipping and inbound logistics function.
Strong knowledge of MS Office (Excel and Word specifically).
Working knowledge of SQL is a plus.
Basic networking knowledge in PC network.
Experience in Windows XP platform.
Working knowledge of any programming/scripting experience a STRONG plus.
Must be customer service oriented with strong follow up skills.
Must be analytical with strong troubleshooting skills.
Working knowledge of bar code technology and relation to EDI
Understanding of shipping and inbound logistics functions id s STRONG
plus.
Retail apparel experience a STRONG plus.
Must be able to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Must be customer service oriented with strong follow up skills.
Must have strong organizational skills, be able to prioritize tasks,
and multi-task.
EDUCATION/TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related job
experience preferred.
AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
Must be able to start IMMEDIATELY.
Must be willing to be on-call on occasional
weekends especially during peak season.
