Wow. That defies logic. Both BEG02 and BCH03 are called a "Purchase Order Number" and the purpose, according to the standards, is "Identifying number for Purchase Order assigned by the orderer/purchaser."

Unfortunately, not all of our Trading Partners are using "common sense" "standard practice". We're trying to convince them of this in regards to the BCH02/BEG02 but need some backup to prove our point. ________________________________ From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Hurd, Richard [SLCUS] Sent: Wednesday, September 27, 2006 10:37 AM To: [email protected] Subject: RE: [EDI-L] Matching 860 to 850 I would say that beyond "standard practice" that it almost should be "common sense." :) -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] <mailto:EDI-L%40yahoogroups.com> [mailto:[email protected] <mailto:EDI-L%40yahoogroups.com> ]On Behalf Of paulineurbanski Sent: Wednesday, September 27, 2006 10:32 AM To: [email protected] <mailto:EDI-L%40yahoogroups.com> Subject: [EDI-L] Matching 860 to 850 Is it an EDI standard practice for the BCH02 element in the 860 to match the BEG02 element in the corresponding 850 document?
