Computer Task Group, Inc. (CTG) has an immediate need for our client in
Piscataway, NJ. This is a contract position through the end of the
year.
Position requirements:
Technical:
Understanding of HCS Supply Chain, contracting, sales, marketing and
financial business processes information flows and application systems.
Key processes include: Customer service, order processing, invoicing,
distribution, receivables, sales tracings, contract administration and
rebates. Understanding of related customer/channel partner business
processes and information flows for both XML and EDI communications.
Understanding and experience with XML technology including: Industry
standards (e.g. XML, ANSI X-12, EDIFACT, NWDA) data communications,
applications software, transaction sets, Value Added Networks.
Understanding of middleware technology, specifically XML data
comprehension, translation (e.g. Webmethods) and industry standards.
Develop and maintain technical skills in XML, EDI and related
communications technologies.
Monitor and troubleshoot EDI & XML content, transmission, translation
and processing issues on a daily basis.
Partner with Information Management and Networking and Computing
Services to maintain change management process in support of production
environment.
Candidate must be willing to work an 8 hour day that will require
working until 9 PM. Hours of coverage required are 1 PM to 9 PM daily.
Training period will be during regular business hours. Then schedule
will shift to 1PM - 9PM.
Additional info: They are seeking IBM (MVS-zSeries) Operating System
experience. The mainframe experience is going to be key along with
EDI experience. It should be EDI mapping; not just knowing about EDI.
The manager is looking to fill a help desk role. If the candidate also
knows XML, that is a huge plus. The person will be troubleshooting when
electronic data stops flowing, primarily via EDI. They also transact
via XML, which all processes through a mainframe.
In essence, the manager is seeking someone to fill a Help Desk
role---some who has experience with EDI. They will be troubleshooting
when electronic data stops flowing primarily via EDA and will also
transact via XML.
