Hello,
We are currently in the process of moving Cyclone Interchange 5.4 from the
DMZ to a VM located inside the firewall. 'Staged HTTP servelet' will be used as
the HTTP transport for inbound documents, i.e. there will be a VM in the DMZ
with Apache Tomcat 5.5 installed and this is where partners will be POSTing
their documents. Cyclone (which is inside the firewall) will further poll the
Tomcat webserver directory for pulling the documents.
Mailboxes are created in the staged servelet that is deployed in the Tomcat
server. The issue here is that when we tried sending a test document to the
mailbox in the Tomcat server, it returned a 401 HTTP error - Unauthorized
Access, reason being the HTTP POST did not have the username/password details.
I am unable to create a mailbox in the servelet that would accept HTTP requests
without the login credentials. Our partners currently do not send
username/password details in their HTTP requests and hence we want them to
retain the same configuration. I tried tweaking the TOMCAT-USERS.XML &
WEBMAILBOXCONFIG.XML file of cyclone, but no success.
I have a feeble thought about the WEB.XML file located in the WEB-INF
directory of the servelet in Tomcat. Is this issue related to the tag
<auth-method>BASIC</auth-method> present in the file. I pretty much also
understand the solution is just a minor change in one of the config files. Your
help is immensely appreciated. Thanks much !!
