You can also use an accumulator in the standard rule. Put a temporary field out past the end of your defined data fields to hold the line item total. In the extended rule of the IT103 put something like: #tempLineItemTotal = #IT101 * #IT103;
Then in the standard rule of your temp field "tempLineItemTotal" have it update an accumulator using "hash sum in primary". NOTE: do not put the multiplication in the extended rule of your temp field. Gentran processes standard rules BEFORE extended rules so your data would not be captured. If you use the extended rule of the IT103 then there is data for your hash total when you get down to your temp field. Finally in the standard rule of your TDS field you select use accumulator, the accumulator you specified on the line and "use primary" On 12/5/06, Jonathan Garniss <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > Quite a few systems I have worked with in the past do not send out the > Total Dollars on a line item basis.
