Most of the customers I dealt with would issue a chargeback if the goods were
rec'd prior to the ASN. It would be refelected on our scorecard as "Late ASN".
If the goods were actually rec'd without an ASN, the charge back would be "No
ASN".
With sears and JC Penney, for example, it was $5.00 or $10.00 per carton. A
pretty hefty sum if you had 3 or 4 truckloads worth of goods.
If you wish to issue a chargeback. I have seen it on both the 820 and 812
documents.
