I have what is probably a stupid question, but it's different than what
I've seen so far. We have a customer who is requiring that we send
their transmissions to an http address, no big deal; however, there are
no certificates nor encryption involved and at the end of the
transmission they will send us either an "http 200" or "http 400" code
for success or failure notifications, not MDNs. Can I still use AS2 for
this type of communication process, or is there an FTP protocol that
would handle sending something to an http site? This is all to be
handled in an automated scheduled job (UNIX script). Is the MDN the
same as the 200 or 400 codes returned?
The trading partner ideally wants us to use AJAX from Oracle to their
site; however, we've never used that in-house yet and don't have the
time built into the project to have someone learn it and implement it.
Any help from anyone would be much appreciated!
Thank you, Heike Elder
