Karla,

As you may have discovered by now the concept of outsourcing has many
flavors including off shoring, near shoring and rural sourcing.

You also as I have mentioned before have industry initiatives to take into
account such as data synchronization and RFID.

Your company may be looking at outsourcing logistics to a 3PL which may
expand your EDI program. It would be difficult for anybody to have a
'silver bullet' without having more details of your particular company's
infrastructure plans. Good luck.

Regards,

David Frenkel

Subject: [EDI-L] EDI Outsourcing - Update

Hi again --

I must say, this has been kind of interesting and... fun. It seems I
was (for a short time) the proverbial cherry on the EDI tree waiting to
be plucked off by the best and most deserving consultant or outsourcer.
Did anyone finally decide who that was?

I appreciate the emails and have a list of outsourcers whom I will be
contacting. And, no, I am not making my list public.

For those of you who are not consultants or outsourcers, I would
appreciate hearing from you about your EDI outsourcing experiences
(good, bad, and ugly.) I would appreciate any other web resources,
white paper, etc. that you used to make your decision.

Cheers,
Karla

P.S. If you send me an email, please spell my name right. That's Karla-
with-a-K.
