Subject: [EDI-L] Help in GIS extended rules.

Hi,

We are using GIS 4.0. We have a logic in a map that is part of an inbound
business process (eg., when an 850 is processed, this map is automatically
called) Since I am still new to GIS and have absolutely no knowledge of Java
calls, I have the following questions -
1) It is my understanding random number is generated r2 = ob.hashCode( ). How
does this code work? Can I see these codes in detail? If so, in which directory?
2) We have quiet a few BP's. How does GIS know which BP to use in this
statement - /ProcessData/ CurrentProcessID /text()?

string [16] RN, RNUM, NEWDOCNUM;
string [30] BPID;
integer b, s;
real r2;
object ob;
ob = new("java.lang. Object");

select xpathresult into BPID from processdata where xpath="/ProcessData
/CurrentProcessI D/text()" ;
NEWDOCNUM = trimright(BPID) ;
b = len(NEWDOCNUM) ;
r2 = ob.hashCode( );
ntoa(r2,RN);
s = 16 - b;
RNUM = right(RN,s);
concat(NEWDOCNUM, RNUM,s);

Any help regarding this code will be useful. Thanks - Miriam
