In the Chemical Industry were are using CIDX ChemXML only via MQ Series
with our Van and for our Partners for direct connect.
In EDI (both X12 and Edifact) we use mostly AS2 for directs to Banks, Vans
we are using VPN and
In some cases were are using HTTPs/ with certs. The AS2 and Https are
minimal with VPN still being used with our large
volume. We have one Van that wants us to use AS2 to them so in this case
the Van fee does not go away.

Happy New Year everyone. I'm trying to get a perspective on the various
methodologies and specifications commonly used across many industry sectors
for the transport, packaging, security, routing, etc. of EDI messages. The
EDI messages here could be either X12, UN/EDIFACT, or various flavors of
XML-based documents.
For example, how widespread is the usage of the RosettaNet RNIF? EDIINT
AS1/AS2/AS3? ebXML ebMS, the eb Registgry? Other approaches?
Thanks in advance for those who wish to share their perspective and
experience.
