Dumb question: Same user? With the same permissions in the same directory?

However, the "variables" file shows that it has started rfc, displays all correct values and closes successfully. But, when I manually run the "startrfc" at command prompt with "-t" option, the dev_rfc is created fine. Could you please suggest how can I fix this? My ultimate goal is to automate the translation, startrfc and have the logging "dev_rfc". Your suggestions will be greatly welcomed.
