I don't know of any tools for migrating to Gentran AI, but there is partial help for GIS. This is from an earlier post:
"Starting with GIS 4.0 there is a File menu option for Import which creates a GIS map from the map of certain earlier products. (Import is not necessary from Windows or Unix AI maps; these .map files can just be opened directly). I can't speak to the Gentran Basic conversion, but for Gentran v5.3 and prior Visual Mapper maps (extension .vmp starting with v6.0) it will create the source and destination layouts, deactivate unused segments, and establish simple links, but not bring forward conditional logic / extended rules. The Import sources allowed are Gentran:Server for UNIX Maps . . . Gentran:Server iSeries Maps . . . Gentran:Basic zSeries Maps . . . When you select zSeries, it gives additional information: 'This wizard will only import maps exported from Gentran:Basic zSeries 6.0 or 6.1'" Ken ----- Original Message ----- From: Kumara Swamy Adurthi To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ; [EMAIL PROTECTED] ; gis1 ; gis2 ; gis3 Sent: Monday, January 08, 2007 3:25 PM Subject: [GIS_UserGroup] Migration from VisualMapper to GentranServer.
